Neptune: Intimate Lighting

review by Clayton
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

3rd outing from Neptune has a funky, industrial postpunk atmosphere. driving bass, twirling guitars coincide with the banging of car doors, oil drums, and barbells. The medium is the message with this act. The growling of the lead singer is utterly indiscernible.

New female duo featuring Melissa Swingle of Trailer Bride. Avoids the sound of Trailer Bride, instead trying on a mix of Juliana Hatfield & Built to Spill.
