Indie rock/pop with soft female and male vocals.  Brinking on the experimental, the distorted guitars of ex-Deerhoof member often back the breatly vocals.  A pop album that manages to be deeper than it’s simplicity.

Somewhere between hard rock and jazz, this band from Norway manages to create a unique, full atmosphere of instrumental rock–even with only three members.  Bass, guitar, and drums come together to create anything from a minimalist experimental rock to shredding-distorted-noisy beauties.  Certainly inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, this is a great listen, especially for headphones.

Different alternate tonal approaches, downbeat.  Male Vox in alt rock style.  Glitch beats and odd bass and synths.  Good arranging and production.    5, 9.  Second disk with ten remixes of track nine on disk one.

In contrast to Bunnies and Muffins, this is madly dark, crushing synths, noise, broken beats and SICK wobble bass. I was stunned. Play All: especially 2, 5, 8 voices [G5 Likes]

Composed, arranged and all instruments performed by David Y. Wang. Mix of 8-bit, actual instruments, wobble bass and other samples. Electro looped digital beats with bass, synths, guitar: all tasty stuff! This guy is madly [+] talented. 5, 10, 13

Mid west rockers, The Layaways, blend different sub rock genres into one tidy package.  From indie rock(Keep it to Yourself) to 60’s pop (All Around the World) they mix it up while keeping a consistent sound throughout the album.  An upbeat album with a few mellow tracks, it has enough variety to keep it fresh.

Indie folk rock with influences in classical music and cabaret pop which create an experimental and innovative sound. Smokey and relaxed male vocals along with a variety of instruments.

Complex electronica with walls of synths, twinkling melodies, and vague bass rumbles. Very innovative and interesting compositional work from an astounding producer.

Electo synth pop with dark tones, rocking breaking break downs, confident male vocals, and sinister orchestration. Some songs are catchy and some are quite generic and cheesy.
