Wow. This EP is all over the place. Songs 1 and 3 are electro with deep male vocals (think Matthew Dear)…although #3 also has a dash of Beck. Song # 2 is a whiskey soaked rocker, and Song 5 is a pretty, understated duet. It’s a bit schizophrenic as a listening experience, but since this review is for radio (ie singles) I’ll heartily recommend 1,3 and 5 depending on the mood.

U.S.E stands for United State of Electronica. Party jams, with lyrics about dancing, celebrating, letting go, getting that feeling, love is the reason. I find the name of the band a little misleading, as it’s I’d define it more as disco rock fusion than electronica. There’s definitely a ton of 70s disco going on here, with the main riff in song #9 sounding an awful lot like “Keep it Coming Love” by KC and the Sunshine band. There’s nothing original here but it is a lot of fun and I won’t deny that I’d booty shake to it if they were playing at someone’s wedding.
“Death” is a very catchy, upbeat pop song with an 80s feel to it. This release consists of seven different versions of the song. Track 1 is the radio edit, which is about one minute shorter than the original song. Track 2 is the original album version. The rest of the tracks are various techno versions.
Play 2, 4, 5.
New York City’s Borrowed Eyes play upbeat, folky indie rock. This album features banjo, horns, and piano. The songs are satirical, fun, and catchy.
