East Bay Ray, or Raymond Pepperell, is the lead guitarist for the Dead Kennedys. Labyrinth his is first solo effort that shows a more experimental side. Deriving from material of different times and places, Labyrinth is a collection of instrumental, minus one song, sound-scapes. A mixture of guitar jam sessions, synthesized pieces, and psychedelic sounds, Labyrinth acts as more of East Bay Ray expressing his Syd Barret influence than a Dead Kennedys-like solo attempt.
