Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande is regarded as one of the finest Hindustani classical music vocalists of her generation. Known for her “melodic subtleties & musical wisdom,” Ashwini performs “gharanedar music” (of established stylistic lineage) based on the Dhrupad genre (the oldest Hindustani vocal genre). She is from Mumbai India and also has a doctorate in Biochemistry.
