Static Of The Gods latest, Knowledge Machine, is an alternative/indie album. The music is pretty standard but lead singer Jen Johnson’s honeyed, lush vocals is what sells this album. You hear hints of Aimee Mann in Johnson’s vocals and at times she really belts it out. This is a solid alt album with a sensuous feel to it.
