What started out as two friends has blossomed into an Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros-esque group Toy Soldiers. Big harmonies, harmonicas, folky rockabilly guitars and gurgling has put Roy Orbison at the top of the RIYD list. This is a cd that you want to put on for a giant group of semi-intoxicated people and see them click their heels and boogy-oogy. From Devendra Banhart style throat murmers to snap and clap style guitar solo Americana, this is a catchy collection. Nothing life changing going on, but pretty enjoyable folk-ish, bluesy, home grown American rock for ya.
