A taste of fiery Colombian afrobeat, highlife, and psychedelia circa 1975-91. The increased accessibility and usage of sound systems (picos) allowed Colombian musicians to be influenced by records and different styles of music (specifically here) from Africa and the rest of the Americas. Some of the resulting hybrid interpretations/sounds are represented here. Another great release from Soundway!
