Apparitions

Light Pollution

review by Rich

Light Pollution is a four piece out of Chicago who manage to mix together the current ingredients that make bands like Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear, the current sound fueling Michigan music, and their own creativity to create an accessible yet original debut album. Poppy at some points (1,2,4,7), Experimental psychedelia here and there (5,9) and original at others (3,6,9). Apparitions shows these guys can cover some different areas solidly and still keep the album fluid. Regardless of which direction they choose to pursue, keep an eye out.
