Israel Darling

review by diagonalley

Break out local band from Greensboro, North Carolina, Israel Darling brings a southern sweetness to their typically indie new album. A Conor Obert/Issac Brooks voice over folky acoustic instrumentals. Pretty and calming, but unfortunately nothing new. This album explores religious themes but not in any overbearing, over preached kind of way, so don’t let the name scare you away. Sounds like a band that is about to break through artistically but has yet to do so. Good effort though.

Sounds like: straight up indie/folk, the color brown, more folky modest mouse, a less emo bright eyes
