Sloppy Job- …And Out Comes Another EP
Release date: 2012Feb22
Sloppy Job hail from Santa Barbara, CA and play music that takes the best elements of 90s ska, punk and crust and blends it into a potent mix. “Oh Save Me, Reveille” reminds me a lot of Anti-Flag and Against All Authority. “Second Hander” follows it up with a sound that’s more reminiscent of older Green Day than anything. “Look Inside” is one of the stronger tracks with plenty of catchy hooks and it harkens back to the mid-90s ska punk sound. I have no complaints about “Mistakes” either. “The End Has Begun” and “Dying Scene” are interesting but don’t add much else. If you can get past the cover artwork, you’ll be rewarded with something that’s fresher than what passes for punk in this day and age.
