Awesome basement punk. Heavy lo-fi guitar fighting with fierce female vocals. I can feel the sweat of fifty college kids packed in a tiny basement every time I listen to this and it feels amazing. Despite hardcore roots, the four track EP avoids collapsing into inaudible yelling and a mindless reverb guitar apocalypse. Vocals are appropriately aggressive and build from despondent whispers to towering screams that capture an urgency and uncertainty that define the genre. A crucial introduction to Adventures and No Sleep Records, I’m sure there is only amazing things to come.
