The latest from Flying Lotus is titled Until The Quiet Comes. The tracks are short and sharp, the longest coming in at 4:40. The music is a mix of Electro Hop, R&B, and Electro Jazz with some 8-bit and wobbly bass. There are many guests on this album, Niki Randa, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Thom Yorke, and Laura Darlington. It’s hard to get into this album because of the track length. Most of the songs come in around two minutes so just as you’re starting to groove, it ends. The tracks also have a herky jerky feel causing further disruption to the flow of the tracks. This album seems like it could be used for samples rather than a full length album.
