Toronto based group, Parallels, second album is titled XII. The music is peppy Synth Pop. The music was recorded on vintage synthesizers and it does have an old school 80’s sound to it. Vocals from Holly Dodson are reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper, Kate bush and very early Madonna. The album is very upbeat and perky but not over the top bubblegum. A solid sophomore effort.
