The last of the quartet of albums The Lijadu sisters recorded for the Afrodisia label. This one synthesizes the sounds of the first three albums – traditional Yoruba melds with funk, afrobeat, slow pop, and beyond. Lyrics here are sung some in English, but mostly in Yoruba. Content reflects even more strongly here the sisters’ concerns with societal ills, as they’d also become disillusioned by Afrodisia’s attitude towards them. A poignant statement to conclude this series of albums.
