Really deep, contemplative interpretations of Indian folk, bhajan (Indian devotional), dadra (Hindustani classical), & snake charmer (hypnotic) music by a group led by Ravi, a classically trained multi-instrumentalist featured here on an Indian banjo with a keyboard called a “shahi baaja” (an electric version of a “bulbul tarang”). Here Ravi also plays tabla and other percussion instruments, and moorsing (jewsharp), while others contribute electric and acoustic bass on various tracks. Very nice!
