Boys School

Boys School

review by Karla

Boys School’s debut, self-titled album is a short 34 minutes of energetic rock music. Fronted by ex-Lord Huron guitarist Brett Farkas, this album features collaborations with many talented artists like Stella Mozgawa from Warpaint and Aaron Embry from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. This album keeps you listening, opening with a country rock driven tune, “Medicated” and quickly moving along to fast paced rock and roll tunes reminiscent of Elvis Costello. Boys School includes a few slower paced songs, such as “I’m With You” and “Out to Sea”, but all in all this album is a fun, toe tapping mix of country and 70s influenced rock music.
